I listened to the doctor and nurses telling me after my surgery NO SEX!! and I smiled and said the way I am feeling now I do not even want to be touched. I meant every word of it. I could not walk up right, I had to hold my husband's hand as I walked, I was moving slowly, my body was weak and sore, I couldnt laugh or cough...where was sex in that equation?
2 1/2 weeks after, I was again reminded by my surgeon, no sex. I laughed then. At that time i had my first Lupron shot and I have already read about your body going into menopause and so desire for sex was at a minimal. Did i consider my husband in all this? Of course, but he felt he could make it. His concern for my health and my progression back to normality, I guess have numb every other part of him.
It has been a little over 3 weeks with just about 3 weeks to go and the lupron did not quite kick in as I thought it would. I have some minor hot flashes and I was told I should have a period, but you know those feelings you get leading up to your period...My Lord!! 6 weeks no longer seem like a breeze because I am married, still very young in the marriage thing and ...Well I started reading blog about other people who wanted to know how soon after myomectomy you can have sex and I can tell you some people wanted to know within 2 weeks of their surgery. I guess we did good, but it is not an easy thing. So with 3 weeks to go, I have to find all the things I can do to keep myself busy in body, mind and spirit so I wouldn't think about sex. So yes people, when considering surgery, consider the absence of sex for some time.
This blog was formed as a way of sensitizing and supporting women, especially of reproductive age, on issues of the uterus. Persons should feel free to comment on or express their personal experiences with heavy menses, absent periods, fibroid, endometriosis, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, ovarian cysts etc I look forward not only to hearing about your struggles, but your success stories as we face these situations together.
Thats not bad at all, you just have to take it easy, your recovery is priority right now. We wait years & years until they get married then have sex, so its nothing we cannot do without. You just talk to your husband about every step during your recovery, keep him informed so he knows.
ReplyDeleteWell talk is all we can do for now and yes it has been helping but it doesnt make it easy. And remember waiting before marriage and waiting after marriage is two different wait :)
Deletelol....u crack me up yes...just a little longer
ReplyDeleteI guess this situation is similar to women who just gave birth or who had a C section
ReplyDeleteSoupofCampbell why you laughing at me lol...And yes Smoochie, I believe it is quite similar, I guess that is why some get catch with another pregnancy right after because I guess after waiting when given the opportunity they forget about everything else lol, but I am hanging in there. My husband stronger than I am lol Strange eh lol
ReplyDeleteyea waiting until ur married and waiting after marriage is different. I have experienced both. My husband is away and will be for 3 months, then he comes home for 2 weeks rest, then goes back for another 3 months, its a challenging situation indeed at times.
ReplyDeleteAt least you are not seeing him in front of you lol lol...I need my husband around me right now but if he is not around, my sex drive would go down lol... Ill just have to deal with it lol Ill start counting down until the doctor give us the go ahead
DeleteHey Girls! I had my myomectomy its been around 4 weeks now!!I was just wondering if anyone has had sex soo soon after there MYO x
ReplyDeleteHi, I waited the full sex weeks, which I can tell you was not easy. I have read though where persons have had sex at four weeks and were fine but I think it is best that you ask your doc. Maybe he will give you the right away based on how you are feeling. Best of luck because I know it is torture.
DeleteI'm brie and I just had surgery a week ago for fibroids and was wondering why do they say wait 4 to 6 weeks before sex
DeleteI'm brie and I just had surgery a week ago for fibroids and was wondering why do they say wait 4 to 6 weeks before sex
DeleteHaving gone through three surgeries myself, it is worth pointing out that there is more than one kind of myomectomy. There is laparoscopic -- which usually requires 4-6 weeks of recovery (and no sex to the topic here). Hysteroscopic myomectomy is quite minimal and you will be fairly fine right away but advised to wait 1-2 weeks for sex due to infection concerns.
Deletewell..that's relief to know...my hubby wont be so happy...just the thought of everything going with ur body sex will definitely be the least on my mind come this july....hummmm...
ReplyDeleteWell he might not be happy, but he would need to be very patient, understanding and super supportive. When you have your myomectomy, you would understand what i mean
Deleteİm going in for robotic myo the day after tomorrow. Wish me good luck ladies
ReplyDeleteBefore you know it, it would be over. God will see you through and your recovery is going to be so much easier than mines as I did an abdominal myomectomy.
DeleteGood luck and may god be with you.
DeleteGood luck and may god be with you.
DeleteWish you good luck on your surgery.Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteHi, Ladies...I had an abdominal myo two weeks ago. Refraining from sex is hard cause my hormones are returning to normal but I know my body will appreciate the wait. I'm wondering how long did you guys wait to drive.
ReplyDeleteI waited the full 6 weeks...started making out about 4 weeks though, but no vaginal insertion. It is going to be very hard, but keep yourself busy with other things and you would make it.
DeleteHi rose, I'm so nervous my doc has 1 year experience and I'm doing an abdominal myomectomy! I'm nervous, we will not be able to enjoy our 1st year anniversary as husband and wife on Oct 8, 2012. My husband is very patient and understanding. I'm 27 years old and they are telling me my fiboid is 14 cm so I can't have the robotic surgery :,( on top of it all I'm starting a new job on Sept 17, surgery is Aug 30, 2012...any advice?
ReplyDeleteHi dear,
DeleteIt is true that you would have to do an abdominal myomectomy, given the size of your fibroid, but you have many things to consider. First of all, are you satisfied with the level of experience of your doctor. This is of great importance. Abdominal myomectomy can end in hysterectomy and if that is the case you would not be able to have kids. If you haven't had any kids as yet, then the seriousness is even more. When I had my surgery, my fibroid was 8.2cm and yet my surgeon who is also a professor had said to me, if I allow a junior surgeon to do it, then the possibility of hysterectomy would increase. The skill of the surgeon is of utmost importance. Blood loss also increase given the size of your fibroid. At the end of my surgery, I was anemic. So again, I would say consider your satisfaction with your doctor before allowing him to cut you.
The doctor would advised you not to do certain things before 6 weeks has passed. So for you anniversary, you would have to find a certain way of enjoying that exclude sex. Also, concerning your new job, every body heals differently. You are going to be doing that 2 weeks after the surgery. During my 2 weeks, I will still pushing myself to work uprightly and I was still weak and drained from the surgery and highly dependent on my husband. I do not think you might have the strength to, but your doctor would best advised you there. If it was a robotic surgery, it would be easier to say you will be good enough to go to work by then, but with an abdominal myomectomy, recovery is longer. You can have a read of my experience, under the label 'my personal story'.
I do not know the reasons why you chose to have the myomectomy at that time...eg. pain, pressure on organs, infertility, size of stomach etc...that would determine if you should push it back to allow yourself to settle in your new job. I think the most pressing thing now though is who would be doing your surgery and your comfort. If you have any further questions, you can email me at rcato.smith@gmail.com. Hope I helped.
I just recently had one and I'm still recovering going on 4 weeks and yes its very difficult to avoid sex but I'm waiting for the ok :(
ReplyDeleteI had my Myeoctomy Surgery on September 13, 2012. My doctor told my husband at pre-op we have.to wait one month to have intercourse. My post op is on my bday October 4, 2012 I will be 37. I took 3weeks off from work, but I started feeling normal again with some slight pains around the 2 week after my surgery. I'm a a bad girl, my hubby was very diciplined, but I was not able to wait. We made love last night Sept. 29th. Now I have some cramping that feels like my period is coming. But I have been taking a.iron supplement, so it also feels like I am constipated. I'm not scared, but I'm hoping that I'm ok and that this is not something serious and that I did not hurt my uterus. Hopefully the.cramping goes away. I just felt fine when we were in the groove of things now I'm paying for it. I'm just going keep praying that everything will be fine. Will keep anyone trays reading posted. I guess its worth the wait. But I really needed my hubby, epecially when he was looking so handsome after his shower. lol
ReplyDeleteSorry for the errors in my post.

Since my surgery I'm hornyass hell and super excited down town... Everything turns me on.... My husband especially... My libido came back with a vengeance.... I go too the doctor tomorrow for stables to come out,but was i wrong for having forplay
DeleteLol! I feel you girl. But that's all I can do too. My surgery was 2weeks ago, my Dr. Told me today that sex would be fine. But I dunno bout that... I'm still feeling tummy pain.

ReplyDeleteYou put a smile on my face lol...especially knowing how hard it is to resist lol. I hope you are well though and it did not cause any harm to your uterus
DeleteI had sex last night after 4 Weeks,of my myomectomy and now I am having pain ,I m so worrief...
Deletei had sex yesterday after two weeks, but we do it sideways not to hurt my uterus it was so fantastc.
ReplyDeleteGood for you :) I was not that lucky. At 2 weeks, I was still in tremendous pain, trying to walk upright.
DeleteDid you do abdominal Myomectomy?
DeleteI did an abdominal myomectomy
DeleteHi,I had sex last night, after 4weeks of my myomectomy ,and now I have pain x
ReplyDeleteWas it an abdominal myomectomy? I will suggest you see the doctor as soon as possible. You cannot be too careful especially when they asked us to wait at least weeks. Hope it is nothing serious.
DeleteYes it was abdominal mayomectomy, but now ihave decided not have sex for 2 Weeks,I m eating pain killer
ReplyDeleteNow I m very upset bcoz,I see the left site corner of my insicion is getting more painful, and when I touch it seems I m putting a needle on it my husband saw and said this morning that there are two small bubble and PUss thete on my left side,I tok todays oppintment ,u plese if go for myomectomy never ever do sex till 6 Weeks, bcoz now i.m paying what I did in my 4weeks
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. I hope many who are reading, realise that sex after myomectomy is a serious business and therefore they should until the 6 weeks or until the doctor gives right away. Hope you feel better soon Sadia.
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteHad my abdominal myo on Oct 31. I was also advised not to have intercourse until after my 6 week check up. Does anyone know if that includes foreplay or masterbation? Is it a matter of penetration or orgasm?
I think is a matter of penetration and orgasm.Foreplay shouldn't harm the uterus but you still need to be careful as too much movement might cause some pain, but for me making out did not affect me.I did not have penetration however until the 6 weeks.
DeleteOnemore thing donot bend,at least 6 Weeks,I did two mistakes I did sex and bent during sex.......I m Muslim so my husband said why dont u pray properly like sitting on floor, and bend upto floor, mean I put my forehead on floor....it was painful and I did it in my 3week,after 2 3 days I felt very pain in my belly and feel like current when the cloth touch on my insicion..I went to my doctor in emergency ,he got very very angry and said I did very nice job,but u messed up....he gave me antibiotic for 10 days...6 days are done but still I have pain..I m now in pain my husband said and think its my mistake...he is not a good man ..I have realized now.....
ReplyDeleteThat is good advice you offer. Sorry for my late response. I do hope you recovered well.
Deletei am 44 just had a myomectomy one week a go and the doctor said i must wait until 16 months before getting preganant because my right tube is block and the left tube is not looking healthly i am i too hold to have a child?
ReplyDeleteI know of persons older than you are who have children so I do not think it is only about age. The main factor that you have to look at right now i your tube. The doctor should be better able to advice you.
Deletei had mini laparotomy done on 2nd of November.i had cyst in my right ovary n it was burst. i had internal bleeding and the Dr's couldn't diagnosis early so i was in pain for whole night.when they realise what was happening to me it was too late and i was nearly about loosing my sense. Finally they have to cut my abdomen to find out where is that bleeding from.I had big cut in tummy now n i hate that scar gaarrrrrhh. Its 7 weeks now n i have really nice boyfriend after this incidence n i want to have sex with him but i m bit scared.I don't want to go back to hospital if something went wrong after sex .plz reply me if it is ok to have sex after 7 weeks of surgery???
ReplyDeleteI am in my sixth week of healing after my myomectomy. It is hard for my husband but he is very understanding and supportive. My doctor gave us the ok for sex on the 4th week and said to be very gently but we decided to give it some time...
ReplyDeleteThat's not a bad idea, but it is a good thing that you have the will power to wait. I couldn't wait to get the ok from the doctor.
DeleteWe waited the full 6 wks to have sex after open abdominal myo bc it just wasn't comfortable to do anything before then. My dr. mentioned not to 'try' again for a child for at least 3 mos, but we had full unprotected sex-question is: IF by some chance we get pregnant, is this a bad thing, harmful, life threatening??
ReplyDeleteFrom what I have read, it the growth of a child without proper healing of the uterus can cause it to rupture and we don't want that. It is best to protect yourself until the doctor allow you to try again. For some persons, like myself who had done open myomectomy, we have to wait until 6 months. 3 months from what I have read is normally persons who have done the smaller incision. However, your doctor knows best. I will tell you though, you don't want to get pregnant before the 3 months as it can cause your uterus to rupture. You have made a very risky decision.
DeleteI has a robotic myomectomy December 19,2012, I had the bleeding and the soreness. The bleeding happened because my period was scheduled on the day of my surgery to come. My doctor explained that bleeding would occur anyway, but like I said the period was to come around that time anyway. But, my husband and I had sex on the twelve day of my surgery, he really didn't penetrate deep. He did come( I no to much information) my two week visit is in two days. We are trying to get pregnant. I know it's to late to be scared. I'm not having any problems so far.
ReplyDeleteHow are you? Any luck with pregnancy
DeleteIm scheuled for 2/5 and its robotic. ive been on lupron to hopefully shrink them, otherwise its tge abdoinal cut :-( not pleased about the wait, but im curious to know if is oral acceptable
ReplyDeleteI believe a robotic is not as invasive as abdominal, but you should asked your doctor about this because even with oral there maybe contractions of the abdominal muscles that cause pain
DeleteIm having an abdominal myomectomy feb.15. I am nervous because i dont really know what to expect after the surgery as far as pain and discomfort. I have a very high sex drive and so does my fiance..dont know how long we can hold out. But as far as oral i think that is ok to do for him, if your feeling up to it.
ReplyDeleteAll the best with your myomectomy. Sex is one of the hardest issue to deal with following a myomectomy. Initially, you might not feel any desire at all because of the soreness of your body, but as you healed, you may feel the drive coming back too quickly, but try to hold out during this period because your total health is important
DeleteI had my myometomy surgery dec. 28 I have a six week appt.on the 8th jan.would it be ok to have sex tonite?
ReplyDeleteTwo more days to go...still it might not cause an issue. You would have to know your own body here, see if you are still sore and maybe take it slow
DeleteI had an abd myo going on 4weeks. I'm using a cane and a backbrace to help me walk straight. I'm want to move around quicker, but still have some pain on laughing, coughing, sneezing, and it hurts when I pee. Going back to dr. To see if its an infection like UTI. Does this sound normal for almost a month recovery time?
ReplyDeleteIt took me about 3 weeks before I can properly walk upright. I think we ought to push ourselves to, but with the pain, it is very difficult and there is an element of fear that you might tear something. I know of persons who walk upright within a week so I guess normal is dependent on the individual. Checking with your doctor is the sure way to go though
Deletei sex 13 days after my myomectomy. my doctor didnt say anything about sex after surgery. incision is ok now no any wound there. but inside left side of the abdomen there is a pain still. now my periods also occur as normal. is this pain normal ? will it recover with the time ? is it because of the sex? should i meet my doctor again? pls reply me
ReplyDelete13 days after an abdominal myomectomy? wow...and the doctor neglected to mention sex to you. If you were having painful period prior to the myomectomy, chances are they will still be painful. However, if you are not sure whether the pain is due to the period or the sex, you should check with your doctor. For me, I was told to wait 6 weeks after the myomectomy.
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteDamn 13 days. I was told 6weeks after for sex. I was in a lot of pain still. I would check back with the doctor because it may be a internal problem with incision (it may look good, but still healing inside). Best of luck.

ReplyDeleteI had an abdominal mymectomy 3 weeks ago -2nd April and recovering pretty well. However, I don't know how long after surgery to expect my period. Does the procedure upset the length of your periods? Mine were irregular before the operation, anyway. I'd be grateful for any advice. Thank you
ReplyDeletemy period was not irregular b4 the surgery, but heavy and the lengthy (8days) . it occur 24 days after the surgery and 32 days after the previous period date. after the surgery it was only 3-4 days.
DeleteI had my period 3 days after surgery, but my dr. Said that's not real period. When I got my real period it was shorter than b4 the surgery. It was uneventful, which made me alittle calmer. My recovery was not smooth as others, not sure why.
DeleteGuess I spoke too soon... My period has started and it was 24 days after surgery - 2 days after my post. It's rather light at the moment but as I'm not sure what "normal" is, I guess I'll just have to monitor it. Thanks for the replies. God bless
Deletenow i'm in the 5th week.now my period finished, it was not that much heavy as prior to the surgery. 13 days after sex was not deep penetration. still there is a pain two sides of the abdomen, that means very close to the leg start place. it is not close to the incision area. when i meet my doctor after two weeks he says that "now ok. getting recover, there may be pains up to one month then after it will be ok. then one month after the surgery, you forget about the surgery and come to normal life, three month after you can pregnant so.. " pain is just like a cramp, it is no too hard or difficult bear, i can do my day to day works, when i was too tired pain also increase, sometimes (only some days) there is yellow color semi solid substance comes out,but no bad odor, is it normal? or abnormal?, any infection? when i sneezing or coughing there is no very uncomfortable as previous, but I'm pretty nervous, pls reply me what should i do ?
ReplyDeleteI had myomectomy a year January 2012. I waited for it to heal before having intercourse yet sex gets soo painful even after 6 months. Really worried cuz its affecting my relationship. Any help
ReplyDeleteHello Doreen, the pain is probably from scar tissues. I will advise that you see your doc for a follow up. By that time sex was normal and better for me
Deleteis it normal to not feel anything underneath your belly button region? I had an open abdominal myomectomy a little over 3 wks ago. Also is it normal to not desire sexual intercourse afterwards?
ReplyDeleteThere was some numbness in areas of the lower abdominal close to the incision that i was told was normal. In the first 3 or so eeks when you are still sore, there is little desire for sex. It will change as you recover more with time
DeleteHello dears I had an abdominal myomectomy on February 5th 2014 the cut is healing fine only on my left side a bit of mucus type stuff is coming out no smell and its a bit sore. I will look at it over the weekend, if it continues I will check the doctor. Can anyone say what they are using to clean their cut and also is iodine ok to help with the healing process. I am still numb below my belly button us that normal. I am also thinking about sex but I will hold out for my six weeks
ReplyDeleteHello. I am a little nervous about my situation. I had my myomectomy on feb 20, 2014 & 2 days after I wanted to touch my fiancee in the worse way. My hormones have been in over drive. My dr said to wait 4-6 wks to have sex & follow up 2wks after my surgery. One morning laying next to my fiancee, was very hard for me. Neither one of us could resist,so i laid on my side & he was very gentle with me(9 days after surgery.it wasn't like our normal escapades)... I'm a little nervous, but i had no pain. We are trying to have one more child, but i don't want to mess up my body either by being hard headed. Should i make myself an earlier follow up just to be on the safe side?
ReplyDeleteI also need to add that during our lost in the moment, he did not pull out. What damage would that cause?
DeleteHello 40 & concerned,
DeleteThanks for posting. Resisting is not easy, but it is something that we have to do to ensure that we heal properly. Remember after your surgery your abdominal walls would be weak. Besides that you do not want unwanted scar tissues. I suggest you see your doctor and hear what he/she has to say
40 & concern
DeleteHunni I read seemed like for 30 mins trying to find someone close to my situation lol
No funny but funny
Me and my fiance had gentle intercourse the 9th and 10th day after my robotic myomectomy surgery. When it happened we described it as "just the head" so it was super super gentle. I was told I could get pregnant very easily now n that's the only thing I'm worried about. Other than that, sex caused no pain. Today is the 10th day.... I have 4 incisions including my belly but my belly is the only thing that hurt..
4/6 weeks sounds like forever lol
I don't know how y'all do it
I know I'm wrong but bae is so irresistible... n I'm the aggressor. Smh

I had a my myomectomy five weeks ago and the question of sex is coming up. Luckily my boyfriend lives out of state (2 hours away) so it hasn't been that bad. Before my surgery sex was often difficult, I had two huge fibroids that pushed on my uterus heavily, I feel so much lighter now besides the swelling of my lower belly. I'm hoping sex will be more enjoyable now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting Keisha. Sex should be much better. I had the problem with deep penetration prior to my surgery, but after we were good to go. It has been almost 2 years since my surgery and I am still enjoying sex with no issue
DeleteHow long after abdominal mymectomy can one try to fall pregnant. ..i thought after 6 weeks it is fine...everywhere i'm reading I see 6 month's
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting Mcambi. 6 weeks is actually too fast. The only thing you are allowed to do after that period is have sex (protected sex). For abdominal myomectomy, 6 months is the waiting period before you can try for pregnancy. If the surgery is laproscopic, then the estimated waiting period is 3 months. However, you should speak to your gynae first before trying.
DeleteHow long should you wait to masturbate after an abd myo? I understand nothing is to be inserted in the vagina for 6 weeks, but what about just having orgasms from clitoral simulation? I read before that the uterus contracts during orgasms. Could this affect the healing process of the uterus?
ReplyDeleteI know that organisms may contract the uterus, but I am not sure as to whether it would affect the healing process. I would therefore advise that you speak to your doctor

ReplyDeleteYou have to be very careful especially if you want to have children. You do not want build up of extra scar tissue. Going to your mom is probably a good idea, but maybe you also need to explain to your husband the impact of having sex too soon, if you haven't already

DeleteHi Vanessa, what an ordeal you been through? I'm so happy that things turned around for you.what a blessing?
DeleteMy wife have been trying to conceive for 2 years with no success. our doctor told me that her fibroids so big they were stopping her from getting pregnant, that she would never have a child unless she have surgery. I didn't like what he was saying, so I searched the internet for natural treatments for fibroids. I found a particular Doctor and looked at all the testimonials, everything looked good so I ordered for her,
ReplyDeleteIt arrived very quickly and she began to take it. Within 2 months of taking them, her period stopped, so she took a pregnancy test.
SHE WAS PREGNANT!! I am glad. contact him at, drleonard288@gmail.com. for yours too.
Wow,God bless you guys.that's a blessing in disguise.
ReplyDeleteHello, I've had an abdominal myomectomy on Oct 14/16 and I'm 3 weeks in today. Still feeling a little weak and tire very easily after walking short or long distances. Im actually starting to walk a little bit better and more up right but still feeling just a tad bit drained. I was told not to have sex for 2 weeks but recovery would be better in six. Went to the Dr yesterday and she said absolutely no sex..sorry to say I had experienced sex 2days before..positioned on my side it didn't hurt it was very gentle and no strong penetration. I just needed to know that things still worked down there, it's best to wait but it was greattt I felt like a virgin again! During surgery my Dr found a lot of scar tissue and tht my tubes had become blocked..given I'm 33 with no kids but 4 pregnancies all ending in miscarriage we talked about not doing a full hysterectomy to have a chance of having a family,so she did not proceed to remove scar tissue. Now I'm told I would have to see a fertility specialist to have IVF I cried bc I can't have a baby on my own..it was a miracle tht I had even gotten pregnant, but I was so depressed and wasn't sure that any of this would even work..and the Dr reassured me that I can definitely have kids but just assisted..shes excellent one of the best..so after a yr I'm gonna try again through IVF and pray everything goes well. It also helps to have an excellent support system. So prayers please during this full recovery. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHello, I've had an abdominal myomectomy on Oct 14/16 and I'm 3 weeks in today. Still feeling a little weak and tire very easily after walking short or long distances. ReplyDeleteIm 27yrs old. It's been 17 days seen I had my first myomectomy to removed my fibroids, little to no pain really.
ReplyDelete5 days after my surgery I went to a party "lol" wearing a abdomin braise made it easy for me to stand and get up of the bed without putting stress on my belly. 3days after surgery until now I've been so horny and wanting to have sex with my boyfriend, hes patience I aint. Tonight were gonna try slowly ahaha.
I'm 3 weeks post surgery .... first week was the hardest I stayed at the hospital two nights the first night after surgery I couldn't even wake up anesthesia was really harsh second night I was still really dizzy and nauseous I only ate lunch slept moved around a little bit. The third day I went home still move really really slow have not had a bowel movement until the fourth day which was really painful have the take Miralax and colace. It was a relief after I use the restroom a lot of the pressure was gone. Second week still having bloating gas pains could only walk for a little while if I overdid the walking I would have to sit down back muscles really sore showers were difficult I needed somebody to stand by. This is my third week I'm moving around a lot more if I overdo it my body tells me I feel tugging on my incision I went for my 2-week follow up doctor said I was fine incision with healing nicely he asked me about spotting I told them I had none I just had a weird yellow discharge he said that was normal. They took out three total fibroids. They had initially told me 6 weeks pelvic rest. After my follow-up appointment doctor said just to make sure I have no more discharge and I can have sex. This is my third week and we still have not had sex my husband's really understanding we might try for fourth week or fifth.... I am experiencing cramping like before surgery I had heavy periods and bad cramping and I am experiencing it now on the third week lots of cramping I'm still taking ibuprofen which helps. I only took hardcore painkillers in the hospital. Since I've been home I've only been taking ibuprofen. all these comments have helped me a lot thank you ladies for the feedback
ReplyDeleteI had a myomectomy done on Friday.. My shoulder and neck hurt so bad.. Sex is the last thing on my mind. I can't even walk without help. How long do it take to feel normal? To be able to sit up and walk without help? This is horrible. I had twins natural and the pain doesn't compare to this..
ReplyDeleteEveryone's experience is different depending on the type of myomectomy and size of fibroid. I did an abdominal myomectomy for a 8cm fibroid and it took like a month to start feel normal again. I could not walk upright for over 2 weeks.
DeleteAs I posted above to Bridget, having gone through three surgeries myself, it is worth pointing out that there is more than one kind of myomectomy. The title here does not specify and my guess is that's why we see a range of concerns and situations. Most of the posters do not specify either. There is laparoscopic -- which usually requires 4-6 weeks of recovery (and no sex to the topic here). Hysteroscopic myomectomy is quite minimal and you will be fairly fine right away but advised to wait 1-2 weeks for sex due to infection concerns.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing it out Elizabeth. Much appreciated.
DeleteI GIVE THANKS TO DR WILLIAMS FOR GIVING ME LIFE.
ReplyDeleteHe helped me with a fast cure to fibroid, and the size of it was .7cm, Then I started taking the medication for only one month, and now am completely cured from it. I'm 52 years old. I had an extensive myomectomy in which they removed numerous, extremely large (grapefruit sized) fibroids from my uterus. Some were calcified, some had degenerated to cysts- enough to fill a bucket to overflowing. It was an abdominal myomectomy but I was able to walk upright after 4 days. Lost 3 litres of blood and had to undergo 3 transfusions so I tire very easily. Not driving is very difficult because I run my own business. How soon can I start driving?

ReplyDeleteMY NAME IS NITA.
ReplyDeleteDr Williams, herbal treatment is the best to shrink fibroid naturally.
Four months ago, I was scheduled an operation to remove a fairly large uterine fibroid (approx. 8 cm), which had caused me a great deal of pelvic pain and pressure on my bladder. My doctor insisted that there was no other choice but to go under the knife and I had reluctantly agreed (after trying several medications to decrease the size of the fibroid to no avail). It was approx. 2 months prior to the surgery when my husband comes across dr williams herbal remedies which my husband found and ordered for me online. With the help of my loving husband, I followed the step and procedure on how i should be taking it. and one months later I was scheduled for an ultrasound check: it was shocking. The fibroid had completely gone, I had consulted my doctor and cancelled the surgery and with your dedicated counseling guidance I managed to completely treat the fibroid from my uterus, along with the pain and anxiety that this condition had inflicted on me. Thank you so much for your kind help, any body with similar problem should contact him on his email address drwilliams098675@gmail.com his a good man

ReplyDeleteALL THANKS TO DR WILLIAMS
ReplyDeletehis product is by far the best plan for treating fibroids naturally...the practical step by step instructions and the detailed information regarding the real cause and how to treat uterine fibroids were a real eye opener. I started dr williams medication after intense bleeding and pain which occurred during one of my rehearsals (I am a professional violinist).I was later that week diagnosed with 2 medium sized fibroids which placed an enormous pressure on my bladder. I was advised by 3 different doctors to undergo surgery to remove these fibroids as I was told that there was nothing I could do to shrink or stop their growth. Luckily, I ran into dr williams by accident as I was searching for information on the net regarding my condition. I was so relieved to have found that surgery was not always the answer, that it can be dangerous and that uterine fibroid can return even after surgical intervention. In less than 4 weeks of taking dr williams herbal portion and following his instruction, both of my fibroid had shrunk by 100% and the second ultrasound taken 7 weeks after I began taking dr williams medication, had shown that both of these were completely gone. I also my periods became regular. and now am three months old pregnant, you can contact his email address on drwilliams098675@gmail.com for advice and for his product.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Dr Williams for everything he have done in my life. I have been in tears for so many years now, having found a classic 7cm fibroid on my uterus, lesion after some years of being under extreme stress. After reading horror stories on forums I was terrified of telling my fiance, who I’ve been with for 5 years without a child of our own (great timing right?!). I was convinced will both, where thinking will can never have a child of our own without sugary which i was very afraid of, . I spent 24 hours freaking out and finally calmed down after reading some testimony on here about Dr Williams herbal medicine to fibroid. The moment came and I mumbled out to my husband about Dr Williams product (with a few tears) and he was AMAZING – . He was just worried about me been free from the heavy bleeding during my menstrual flow and the pain this fibroid have course me, after taking Dr Williams medicine for just within a period of one month. We went to the doc together who confirmed that i was fibroid free.
